Founded by Francis Gelb in 1993, Sabre emerged as a result of the founder’s family lineage of goldsmiths. He believed that “being born with a silver spoon in your mouth creates vocations.” Francis' exposure to the finer things in life created a passion for precious metals and meticulous craftsmanship. At a young age, he developed a fascination for the art of the perfect table setting as well as a flair for unique colours, materials and shapes. The brand reached a turning point when he met the love of his life, Pascale. Together, they created the first ever gingham flatware design, the “Vichy,” and presented them to the world as pieces of art. This set the stage for their bold & audacious collections with retro & contemporary features available in an array of vivid shades & patterns. Soon after, their iconic collection, the “Icône” was introduced in 21 colors with the intention of being mixed & matched together to create a multicolored medley.
