The Wispy Perfect Paisley collection is made of a superior 100% cashmere yarn, gently woven in a delicate twill weave to create a supremely soft and translucent cloth – the lightest cashmere! Finished with a short combed fringe, this soft and floaty stole can be worn double-folded as a scarf or open as a summer stole. The design – combining the origins of Begg and the heritage for creating paisley designs, with modern-day beach combing for shells along the stunning Ayrshire shore. This delicate all-over paisley shows scrolling seashell shapes entwined and adorned with seascape jewels, stylized anemones and floral “tea-cup” imagery, reminiscent of paper-doilies from traditional seaside tea shops. Reviving the tradition of paisley designs in the Begg collection, this modern-take on the traditional, creates a “perfect paisley” for the Spring/Summer 2010 season.
